PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

Even in the absence of any obvious abnormality or complaint, it is recommended that your eyes are examined by a doctor in medicine, specialist in ophthalmology:

  • 1 time at the age of 4 years.
  • 1 time at the age of 16 years.
  • 1 time at the age of 20 years.
  • 1 time at the age of 30 years.
  • 1 time at the age of 40 years.
  • 1 time every 3 years from 42 years on.
  • 1 time per year, from 60 years on.

Also,

  • 1 time per year, up to 18 years, in case of hyperopia, with or without astigmatism.
  • 1 time per year, up to 28 years, in case of myopia with or without astigmatism.
  • 1 time per year, from 42 years on, if there are personal or family history of eye problems.
  • 1 time every 6 months, when wearing contact lenses.
